Purchasers are particularly requested to carefully study the conditions of sale printed in the catalogue. These conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
Buyers Premium:
A universal premium of 12.5% on the hammer price will be payable by all purchasers.
Reserves:
No lot will be sold for 10% less than the lowest estimate without the vendor’s consent.
Bidding advances:
At the Auctioneer’s discretion but as a general guideline, £10-£50 in £2 units, £50-£100 in £5 units. £100-£200 in £10 units, £200-£500 in £20 units, £500-£1000 in £50 units.
Payment:
This may be made in cash, by credit card (3% fee), debit card, switch, banker’s draft or cheque guaranteed by the bank upon which
it is drawn. No lot will be released from the saleroom until payment has been made in full, or against cheques from purchasers unknown to the Auctioneer until cleared by the client’s bank.
Collection:
Lots MUST be collected and paid for within FIVE working days. After this period the buyer will be responsible for loss or damage and a storage fee of £1 per day.
Post and Carriage:
Upon receipt of payment, where necessary, purchases will be dispatched by either recorded, or special delivery or professional carrier. Please note the FULL post and carriage cost will always be charged to the buyer.
Commission bids:
The Auctioneer will be pleased to execute WRITTEN commission bids free of charge for those clients unable to attend the sale. All bids must be received by 5pm the day before the sale and can be sent by post, fax or e-mail. Unfortunately, NO commission bids will be accepted by telephone. In the event of identical bids the earliest received will take precedence.
Telephone bids:
For this sale we will not be accepting telephone bids.

Delivery:
Entries will be accepted 4 weeks prior to each sale. All goods delivered to the Auctioneer’s premises will be deemed for sale, unless otherwise stated in writing. Goods will be catalogued and sold at the Auctioneer’s discretion. By delivering goods to the auctioneer the vendor accepts and agrees to all the auction conditions.
Loss and damage:
In the case of items being lost or damaged prior to, or during, the sale, reimbursement to the value of the highest catalogue estimate will be made.
Catalogue illustrations:
Illustrations are at the discretion of the Auctioneer. There is no charge for this service.
Payment:
The Auctioneer will remit the proceeds of the sale to the vendor no later than 28 days after the sale date provided the sum due has been received from the buyer. In the event of non-payment the Auctioneer will exercise his right to rescind the sale and return all unsold items to the vendor.
Commission rate:
A universal commission rate of 12.5% will be deducted from all sales.
Estimates:
Lots will be offered for sale subject to the estimates set by the auctioneer. No lot will be sold for 10% less than the lowest estimate without the prior consent of the vendor.
Withdrawal charges:
In the case of the vendor withdrawing instructions to sell, after the catalogue has been published, compensation of 10% of the lowest estimate, and any other expenses incurred in respect of the relevant item(s), will be charged to the vendor.
