Sales of John Wilson’s Boro football fantasy The Ayresome Angel have exceeded all expectations. In fact there is a serious possibility that the book will have to be reprinted in the near future.
A delighted John said, “If orders for the book remain at their current levels then I will be certainly looking at a reprint.”
The book which is a short story about nine-year-old Jack Hartley being shown the sights and sounds of Ayresome Park by his grandfather seems to have struck a chord with Boro fans of all ages.
As John explained, “I’ve had some very positive feedback particularly from schools where I’ve read extracts from the book to Year 6 children who seemed to enjoy it.”
